When God’s light shines we are fearful because our failures are illuminated. However, also illuminated is God Himself and He is good and forgiving, just and merciful. The darkness of our sorrow is overpowered by the forgiving light of joy in Christ Jesus. The joy of the Lord becomes our strength for our past, present and future.
