Heroes Wanted

Gardener
Once a week, give our landscaping and indoor plants some love! We have other heroes who mow the lawn and weed eat, but we need one or two people to help keep up with weeding, trimming, watering, etc.

Online Service Hosts
If you see the potential to help those watching online feel loved and connected, we want you! The online service host serves in the following ways: 1) Welcoming viewers and introducing yourself; 2) Creating engagement and reacting to comments, etc.; 3) Troubleshooting tech issues; 4) Praying for those viewing and serving as an online “Welcome Desk” to help answer questions, etc.

Sunday Kids Ministry
Opportunities to assist in the Nursery, Mini Bears, and K-6 ministry are available. Must love Jesus, the Bible, and Kids! These positions require a Criminal Record Search, application, and references. Must have attended Parkside regularly for 6+ months before applying. After being trained in safety policies, you’ll start shadowing an experienced volunteer. Opportunity to serve 1-2 times per month for one or both services.

Sunday Parking Lot Greeter
For folks attending for the first time or others who are feeling down, a smiling face and encouraging waves go a long way to breaking the ice and making people feel loved, welcome and more at peace. Wear a vizzy vest and Stand at the entrance to our parking lot before both services while smiling and waving. Rain or shine! Opportunity to serve 1-2 times per month for one or both services.

Sunday Photographer
If you can take nice photos with a new phone or camera, let us know! This position requires a Criminal Record Search. You’ll wear a lanyard identifying you as an official photographer. You’ll need to be comfortable asking people for their permission to take a photo or showing them the ones you took and receiving permission for the church to use the photo for church records and promotional purposes. Photos must be uploaded by Sunday after the second service to a shared Google Photos album to be used by church staff and ministry leaders. Opportunity to serve 1-2 times per month for one or both services.

Sunday Ushers
Our ushers make people feel welcome and loved through a smile, handshake or wave. Duties can include greeting at the front door, handing out Newsletters, serving communion, helping folks find a seat, directing new families to the kid’s check-in, and more! Opportunity to serve 1-2 times per month for one or both services.

Weekly Shopper
Receive a list on Tuesday by noon and drop off items at the church on Saturday by noon. Keep and organize receipts for reimbursement. Submit an expense reimbursement form once a month for expenses. Typical rotation includes Costco once a month, Superstore and/or Save-On once a month, Staples once a month, etc.Filled! Thank you!
