Date: July 23, 2017 Text: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 Speaker: Isaac Dagneau Should Christians file lawsuits against other Christians? Paul addresses this issue to the ancient church in Corinth in his first letter - a letter that encourages unity all throughout. However, 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 is not primarily about "lawsuits," but more about the character of the body of Christ. The church, ancient and present, ought to be team members who appropriately confront and take confrontation. Why? Because the church is washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ and by the Spirit of our God. We are not promoters of individualism or autonomy, but promoters of unity within the body of Christ.
Date: July 16, 2017 Text: 1 Cor. 6:9-11 Speaker: Clint Nelson The Bible tells us that no one is born straight, yet through faith in Christ, we can let go of our broken lives in exchange for His righteousness. Date: June 11, 2018 Text: 1 Cor. 5 Speaker: Clint Nelson How we express our sexuality doesn't just impact us, but our church community, and our city. The church community is to take immorality of all kinds seriously - out of love for the individual, health of the church, and blessing of the city. Listen to discover more of God's design for sexuality and the role of the community in bringing beauty through healthy sexuality.
Text: 1 Cor. 3-4 Date: June 4, 2017 Speaker: Clint Nelson God gives the world leaders (pastors, parents, politicians, peers, etc.) – their leadership can be a barrier or boost to the cross. God calls everyone to be a leader of some sort – what kind of leader are you? Regardless of our lot, we will each answer to God for what we did with the cross, not how others handled the cross.
