BENEVOLENCE FUND

GIVE ONLINE We live to give! A Christian worldview sees the material things of this world as merely tools to build both ours and our neighbour's love for God. The Bible instructs us to be wise and generous managers of the material for we will all give an account for how we "spent" our life. Jesus knew that it is in our nature to protect and insure our own self-interest, but modelled what it means to deny ourselves. He gave His very life that His kindness might warm our cold hearts. Today, as His followers, we continue His ministry of warming cold hearts. Through our acts of kindness and generosity, the goodness of God is experienced in us and others. Because when we give, we (and others) actually get a small taste of what He went through for [...]

CONFLICTS & THE BODY OF CHRIST

Date: July 23, 2017 Text: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 Speaker: Isaac Dagneau Should Christians file lawsuits against other Christians? Paul addresses this issue to the ancient church in Corinth in his first letter - a letter that encourages unity all throughout. However, 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 is not primarily about "lawsuits," but more about the character of the body of Christ. The church, ancient and present, ought to be team members who appropriately confront and take confrontation. Why? Because the church is washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ and by the Spirit of our God. We are not promoters of individualism or autonomy, but promoters of unity within the body of Christ.

FREEDOM SESSION

The end of September might sound like a long way off, but it will be here before you know it! And with it, will be Freedom Session -  a 20 week, intensive healing-discipleship journey that uncovers the roots of pain in our lives and invites Jesus Christ to heal those areas of our hearts. Freedom Session deals with real issues…pornography, broken marriages, sexual woundedness and abuse, depression, anger, fear and addiction. Beneath these symptoms, you will find a wounded and empty heart, looking for hope and meaning. As Jesus begins to heal the heart, the unhealthy and destructive ways we used to escape the pain in our lives become less and less attractive. Shame loses its grip on our lives and the lies that controlled us are replaced by God’s truth. More details (i.e. [...]

CONFESSING SIN TO YOUR SPOUSE

Confession is scary. For both parties. No one wants to confess their sin, but when done well, it leads to deeper trust and love. In the first Parkside Roundtable, Clint sits down with Tom & Sharlene Brooks to start a conversation on what confession in marriage looks like. Tom is a counselor. Sharlene is a cop. They’ve been through the ups and downs of marriage and have learned a few things along the way that will be a help to every listener. We’re praying that the fruit of this recording would be healthier marriages and homes. Would you join us in praying for those that listen and for our own hearts, that we would have the courage to live in the light and experience the beauty of living life in light of the cross.

HERE HE COMES!

Date: February 5, 2017 Text: Rev. 19:11-21 Speaker: Isaac Dagneau We were snowed in on this Sunday, but Isaac was able to Facebook Live the sermon. Here is the audio recording. Revelation 19:11-21 speaks of the moment we generally call “The Second Coming.” John (the writer of Revelation) sees “heaven opened” and the mighty Lamb riding a white horse down to earth to judge the nations and unite with His bride. For Christians today, this text provides hope for a bright future, and encouragement in knowing that every wrong will be made right.
