Child Dedication “I will take him and present him before the Lord.” 1 SAMUEL 1:22 Thank you for your interest in dedicating your child to God! Why dedicate a child to God? It was a common practice in Scripture: We read in Scripture where it shares that the prophets Samuel and John the Baptist, as well as Jesus, were all dedicated to God as children in the Jewish place of worship. Samuel’s mother, Hannah, declared, “I will take him and present him before the Lord.” (1 Samuel 1:22). Jesus “took the children in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.” (Mark 10:16). WELCOME, PASTOR CATHERINE!

On Sunday, September 8, 2019, Pastor Catherine Dagneau was installed as an Associate Pastor of Recovery Ministry at Parkside Church. She and her husband Eugene lead Celebrate Recovery in addition to serving as Elders. Catherine also preaches regularly at Parkside and cares for people within and outside the church community. Catherine has been studying at Pacific Life Bible College and will continue her studies. She has a wealth of life experience and is gifted in preaching, songwriting, and encouraging others to seek God for healing and hope. Please uphold Pastor Catherine and Eugene in prayer as she steps into an increased role of responsibility in the church. Please join us in praising God for the gift Catherine is to our church and city.

SUMMER SUNDAYS

What is a Summer Sunday? We have one service at 10:00am (June 30 - September 1) with the following activities: Lawn Games: Plan to arrive early (9:15-9:55am) or stay late (11:20am-12:00pm for casual lawn games (weather permitting). Continental Breakfast: Fresh-baked assorted muffins, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and water served from 9:15-9:55am. By donation (proceeds to the FoodBank). Kid's Program: Nursery to Age 4 is open after the singing. Grades K-6 are dismissed after the singing as well to the Youth Centre. Worship: We sing about 4-5 songs of love and truth that remind, inform and lift our eyes to the God that gave His life for us!
