Christmas at Parkside

Join us this Christmas season for a number of special events! Advent Sundays Join us on December 1, 8, 15, and 22 for our Advent series as we count down the days to the Christmas. Each service at 9:00am & 10:45am includes lighting a candle on the advent wreath, singing a carol, hearing a testimony and a message on the arrival of Jesus that first Christmas. Kids Christmas Presentation Join us in both services (9:00am & 10:45am) on December 22nd as our kids will present a few special Christmas numbers. Thriftmas

Doors open at 9:00am on Saturday, December 7th (until 12:00pm): Parkside Church 33837 Prentis Ave. Mission, BC A pop-up thriftmas sale. Proceeds will go to the high school grad missions trip (serve at the Dream Center in LA in February 2025). DONATIONS*: We are receiving donated items on Friday, December 6th between 6:00-8:00pm. *Not all items will be accepted as we will be looking for quality over quantity. Heroes Wanted

Last updated: September 12, 2024 Gardener Once a week, give our landscaping and indoor plants some love! We have other heroes who mow the lawn and weed eat, but we need one or two people to help keep up with weeding, trimming, watering, etc. Online Service Hosts If you see the potential to help those watching online feel loved and connected, we want you! The online service host serves in the following ways: 1) Welcoming viewers and introducing yourself; 2) Creating engagement and reacting to comments, etc.; 3) Troubleshooting tech issues; 4) Praying for those viewing and serving as an online “Welcome Desk” to help answer questions, etc. Sunday Kids Ministry Opportunities to assist in the Nursery, Mini Bears, and K-6 ministry are available. Micro Campus at Parkside

Parkside is a micro campus of Pacific Life Bible College (www.pacificlife.edu) and will start with offering a Bible college course each semester at Parkside. SURVEY OF CHRISTIAN BELIEFS (Lectures by Dr. Ken Deeks) 12 weeks starting Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 7:00-9:00pm THS 101 - MC (3 credits): This course introduces students to the basic concept of world views and the importance of understanding a Christian worldview. It covers the basic Christian beliefs that form the basis of a Christian view of the world are then surveyed according to standard theological categories. Each course is a video lecture with class discussion throughout the night. You can audit the course ($50) plus textbook (optional) or take it for credit ($350) plus textbook.
