12:15pm
Wrapping up and heading into life.
Is there something for kids?
On Sunday mornings we provide age appropriate classes for kids under eleven. Qualified leaders provide a safe environment where kids make new friends and learn about God. Please be sure to sign them in and pick them up following the service for safety purposes.
Are sermons available for download?
We podcast our sermons. Subscribe by pasting the following feed into your podcast subscription options: http://parksidechurch.ca/life/?feed=podcast
Or you can download them directly through the blog, Messages/Life, and comment. Life focuses on discussions and weekly teachings. We’re currently backdating it with all our old sermons and more will be available soon. Archived recordings are available to members of Parkside by request.
When does the Sunday morning flow look different?
From week to week, really. It’s always a little different, but here are some of the most important
Food For The Journey
On the first Sunday of every month (roughly speaking), we pause from our current series to invite Parksiders to share the Lord’s story in their life. We’re back to having potlucks after FFTJ Sundays again, too. If you’re new, don’t worry about bringing anything but yourself. We’d love to have you.
The Lord’s Supper
We share the Lord’s Supper/Eucharist/Communion/Sacrament every week of the month. You don’t need to be a member to partake – just someone who is committed to following Jesus Christ.
Missions Offering
On the third Sunday of every month we also collect to help the missions we support: YoungLife Cloverdale, Servants Anonymous Society, and the Dot Com Community Church.
Service Sundays
In January, May, August, and November we flip things around: instead of a Sunday service, we have a service Sunday. Beginning in 2009, we decided to use the five-week months as an extra chance to serve the community rather than have another gathering time. We’re always looking to add extra times, and if you have an idea of something we could do, contact us.
One of our driving passions at Parkside is our community (the greater Cloverdale area). We’re not just here for ourselves, but for the sake of the community around us. More and more we are discovering God’s heart for our neighbors, and His heart for us to enter into this love-to become living expressions of His compassion and redemptive presence. To this end, we’re regularly looking and praying for ways to walk this out-to bless others as we’ve been blessed, to seek the peace of our city, to care for those in need, and so on… not as a program, but as a new way of living. Come and join us as we seek to follow Christ in love for our little corner of the world and beyond.
